Friday 13th May from 10am Thames Water here to talk about the new Smart Meters. Free tea and coffee available for those who attend.
Come along on Friday 13th May 2016 from 10am to meet Harriet Allen from Thames Water, she is here to update you on plans to install smart water meters progressively across the London Borough of Enfield over the next few years to help protect future water supplies. They want to tell you how they can help residents in Palmers Green save water, energy and money.
The aim of the smart metering programme is to reduce overall water usage and improve leakage detection. It will also put customers in control of their water bills, by paying for the amount of water they use, gradually replacing the existing fixed charges based on outdated rateable values. Smart meters will also enable customers to view their consumption online.
Harriet says “We look forward to meeting all members of the community centre to tell you a more about our smart metering programme, the benefits and the help and support available for customers to save water, energy and money. This includes the opportunity to book a smarter home visit to have free water saving devices fitted and tailored advice on how customers can save money off their water and energy bills, as well as offer a number of financial support schemes and assistance to customers in hardship”.
